Blind channel

Blind Channel is a Finnish post-hardcore band from Oulu that coins its energetic, genre-defying rock as “Violent Pop”. With their explosive live energy and a nonstop string of singalong anthems, the band has forged an ever-growing and super-dedicated fanbase since their debut in 2013.

The sextet has performed numerous headliner shows all across Europe and already graced the stages of all notable domestic festivals in Finland, and released three hit albums. The band is routinely shortlisted as one of the greatest hopes of Finnish rock music exports and their second album Blood Brothers was nominated for an Emma award (the equivalent of a Finnish GRAMMY™) in the Best Rock Album category.

Blind Channel’s big breakthrough happened after the band had recruited DJ Aleksi Kaunisvesi and took part in the Finnish Eurovision qualification program UMK. The only rock song in 2021’s ballad-soaked edition of the competition, their banger Dark Side managed to unite Finnish rockers of all ages to start a shockwave of huge buzz that secured them a landslide victory in the voting. And once in the finals in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Blind Channel placed 6th, scoring the 2nd best result in Finnish Eurovision history.

Big in Finland? Check. Noted in Europe? Check. Now with their brand-spanking-new international pact with metal behemoth Century Media Records, Blind Channel’s next stop is the world.
