The time has come to bid farewell to the metalheads of Ember Falls. The band has decided to conclude their eight-year journey with the single AVALON released this Friday, on May 19th.
The decision of retiring the band was not an easy one:
”The band coming to an end was actually a long process, but it was only spoken aloud in the final stages. We had been struggling for quite some time to find the time and energy for this project. It’s probably a fairly common story that priorities tend to change when stable jobs, family life, and so on come into the picture. There’s really no drama involved in the breakup, unless you count occasional frustration and grumpiness about our general ineptitude to get things done as much as we’d like. Of course the mood is bittersweet for everyone, as the band and our music are associated with a huge number of important memories and moments. At the same time, this is a good time to call it quits when we can be proud of all the music released so far, and the swan song Avalon is no exception. There’s no symbolism related to the disbandment in Avalon. It is mainly a representative sample of the sound our music has been evolving into over the past couple of years”, the band comments.
